On Tuesday 10th November we held an Art and Maths Day.
What Maths do you use when you are doing art work?
What Art do you use when you are doing Maths?
How do Art and Maths link together?
We thought about all these questions on our Art and Maths day. Using the work of Mondrian and Paul Klee, and the book "The Gruffalo's Child" we explored line, shape and perspective. We also looked at how patterns are created using reflection, rotation and translation; using motifs inspired by "The Gruffalo's Child" we made wallpaper patterns and we also looked at the patterns in fabrics. Visit our gallery to see some of the work we produced. We are very proud of what we achieved!
